If it's not one thing it's another. I've managed to pull muscles in both legs (probably hamstrings), I think from driving to squash and then landing awkwardly. My brother usually drives me but he couldn't make it this week, so I drove myself. My seat is not especially comfortable so I sit on a cushion to get me in the right position, but it's gone a bit flat so I think it's contributed to the pulled muscle. Reading this paragraph back makes me sound so old!
Anyway, I'm going to have to rest my legs for a while, so no cycling or squash for the next week I think. My stomach still isn't quite right, I've finished the antibiotics so I think it's just a muscle strain. Hopefully resting for a week or so will cure all the muscle problems! I don't want to rest too long as I've signed up for a sportive on 31st May which is 108 miles, I could probably do it without too much problem but I want to do it well which will require some training.
We've got some holidays booked now, we're going to the Isle of Wight in August and up to Clacton in the second week of Easter, just to test out the caravan before Glastonbury. I'll still have to work while I'm up there so it won't be a real holiday, but it'll be a change of scenery anyway!
We're off to a wedding in a couple of weeks, it's one of my best friends who I've not seen in a couple of years so I'm really looking forward to it. It's pretty difficult to socialise with three young kids, but we're getting there slowly. I've got a night out booked for the start of May in honour of some very 'special' people...
